Can't Reach 192.168.8.1?
|
💡 Tip: To access the admin panel, your device must be connected to the Spark's Wi-Fi or Ethernet — not another network. The admin panel is only reachable from within the Spark's own network. |
Mobile data interference: This is a less common but important issue — if your Spark has no internet connection and you are trying to access the admin panel from a smartphone; your phone may automatically switch to your cellular carrier's data network instead of staying on the Spark's Wi-Fi. When this happens, your phone can no longer reach 192.168.8.1 because it is no longer on the Spark's network.
To fix this: Turn off Mobile Data (cellular data) on your phone before trying to access 192.168.8.1. This forces your phone to stay on the Spark's Wi-Fi network. Once you are done in the admin panel, you can turn mobile data back on.
• On iPhone: Settings → Cellular → turn off Cellular Data
• On Android: Settings → Network & Internet → turn off Mobile Data
